A Petersburger, having gone hunting with two friends, died from an accidental shot.

The accident occurred on September 2 at about 20.30 in the Tosnensky district, on the territory of the Lisinsky forestry, two kilometers from the village of Konechki, a law enforcement source told Megapolis.

Three friends, not counting the dog, came to hunt in a UAZ Hunter off-road vehicle. Having stopped, they checked and loaded their weapons – two long-barreled hunting rifles, the Czech “CZ550” and the domestic “MP-155 Baikal”.

The passengers who owned the weapon placed it in the back seat of the SUV. There was also the dog of the driver, a 45-year-old Petersburger, an individual entrepreneur. The car door was closed.

Some time later, a shot rang out. A bullet from a Russian rifle, 12-gauge, having broken through the rear right door of the SUV, hit a 47-year-old friend of the driver, a resident of the Vyborgsky district of St. Petersburg.

The man died at the scene from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The bullet also grazed his hand and damaged the flask.

The driver of the Hunter immediately reported the incident to the police. An investigative team worked at the scene of the tragedy. The clothes of the killed hunter, the shell that hit him, the flask, prints and biomaterials were sent for examination. The issue of initiating a criminal case is being resolved.
