Ryan Grantham killed his own mother

In Canada, 24-year-old Ryan Grantham, who played the role of Jeffrey Augustine in the popular TV series Riverdale, was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of his own mother, reports Lenta.ru.

The crime was committed in 2020. Grantham was originally going to carry out an attempt on the life of Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau, but did not want his mother to know about it. Therefore, before going to carry out his plan, he first killed his parent by shooting her in the back of the head with a gun when she was sitting at the piano at home.

After killing his mother, Grantham changed his plans and decided to arrange an “act of mass violence” at Simon Fraser University, from which he had been expelled earlier. However, the actor did not dare to do this either, eventually going to the police station and confessing everything.

The right to parole Grantham will now be able to get only after the first 14 years behind bars.

In addition to Riverdale, the actor has appeared in a number of films and series, including Supernatural and The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.
