It should be noted that Alsou’s youngest daughter Mikella Abramova took part in the show “The Voice. Children” in 2019. Her performance in the super final ended in triumph – the girl received 56.5% of the votes, phenomenally beating her rivals Erzhan Maxim and Valery Kazakov. This situation provoked indignation among television viewers. On social networks, users then called Mikella’s performance weak and her victory bought. Channel One organized a check, following which all participants in the final were named winners.
Alsou told how her daughter managed to win. The singer admitted that she did everything to ensure that Mikella took first place.
“At this moment you just don’t think about anything, you just, like any mother, want to help your child. Just like other mothers on the project – some have 10 thousand subscribers, some 50, some 100. And everyone calls their relatives, everyone tells everyone, vote. I had 2 million subscribers, and many celebrity friends and colleagues whom I also asked to vote and encourage. And this played a cruel joke,” Alsou said.
The singer reassured herself that any mother in her place would have done the same for the sake of the child. However, only years later Alsou realized that she had made a big mistake.
“I overestimated myself, my capabilities, my fame and took advantage of it. Yes, that was wrong. It’s unfair to others. Because other children’s parents did not have 2 million subscribers. I want to publicly apologize, I want people to understand that this was not planned. No one expected this and did not want a scandal. We all love our children. It was unfair and wrong of me. I want to apologize to Mikella and to everyone,” the artist said in an interview for the YouTube channel “Your Natasha.”
