In a temporary detention center in Tobolsk, Tyumen region, five arrested people started a riot and a fire; they barricaded themselves in a cell where they staged a pogrom. This was reported today, November 20, by the Shot telegram channel.

According to his information, five men arrested for theft, rape, robbery and robbery were transported last week from pre-trial detention center No. 1 to a temporary detention center in Tobolsk. At the new place, the accused demanded better conditions of detention, but their requests were not satisfied.

“Yesterday evening, the prisoners smashed a CCTV camera and a lamp, then rolled up a washbasin and set the trash on fire. Seeing the smoke, the detention center guards began to extinguish it through the food transfer window; the suspects held the door and did not allow it to be opened. A little later, the pre-trial detention center staff managed to get into the cell and subdue the rowdies. At the same time, one of the prisoners managed to slash himself in the neck with a sharpener; he was taken away in an ambulance,” – TK points out.

The accused face new criminal cases and additional sentences.
