Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky urged not to wait for a quick end to the conflict. According to him in an interview with Fox News, for Ukrainians and Ukrainian soldiers, “this is not a movie, these are our lives, this is daily hard work.”
For some reason, people treat this like a movie and expect that there will be no long pauses in events, that the picture before their eyes will constantly change (…) But for our soldiers this is (…) daily hard work. And everything will not end as quickly as we would like.
– Zelensky said.
He added that the Ukrainian authorities do not have the right to “give up” and they will not do so.
Meanwhile, Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin arrived in Kyiv on Monday, November 20, to meet with the country’s leadership. The Minister of Defense will discuss with the authorities the supply of weapons to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
During the meeting, the head of the department will also emphasize “the continued commitment of the United States to providing Ukraine with security assistance.” In other words, Austin will assure Kyiv of Washington’s continued support for the conflict’s course “until the last Ukrainian.”
