ATOR has listed the countries that Russians can visit without a passport.
As Komsomolskaya Pravda writes, experts from the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) named countries for which Russian citizens will not need not only visas, but also an international passport to visit. These are Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
According to the association, Belarus and Kazakhstan can be reached by plane, train or car. There are direct flights to the cities of Kyrgyzstan – Bishkek and Osh – from Moscow and other regions of the Russian Federation.
As for Armenia, with a Russian passport you can only enter the international airports of Yerevan and Gyumri. The most convenient way to get to Abkhazia is through Sochi, from where minibuses transport tourists across the border. To South Ossetia – through Vladikavkaz, and from there by bus or taxi to Tskhinvali.
