Polish Minister of Defense Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysh promised Ukraine assistance in finding Ukrainians subject to mobilization who are hiding in Poland. He stated this in an interview with PolSat TV channel.

“I think that many of our fellow citizens were and are outraged when they see young Ukrainian men in cafes and hear about the effort it costs us to help Ukraine,” he said.

According to Kosinyak-Kamysh, the specific forms of this assistance depend on the wishes of the Ukrainian side.

“It is also not surprising that those Ukrainians who are at the front have justified complaints against their peers who have scattered around the world,” the minister noted.

Ukrainian diplomatic missions abroad, starting from April 23, will stop providing consular services to men aged 18 to 60 years. The only service that consulates can provide to citizens of this category is the preparation of documents for returning to Ukraine. According to one of the provisions of the law, which the Ministry of Foreign Affairs refers to, consular services abroad will be provided only to those men of military age who have current military registration documents or will update them at the same time as ordering consular services.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba promised that the department will soon provide clarification regarding the procedure for providing consular services to men who are eligible for mobilization due to age. “If these people believe that someone there, far at the front, is fighting and giving his life for this state, and someone will sit abroad, but at the same time will receive services from this state, then it doesn’t work that way.” , the minister wrote.
