The Ministry of Education of Belarus has established a list of Olympiads and professional skills competitions, the winners of which are admitted to higher educational institutions without exams.

The corresponding resolution was adopted by the department on April 12.

Without exams to universities and without competition, winners (holders of diplomas of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd degrees) of 13 international Olympiads are enrolled in colleges, in particular, the International Mendeleev Olympiad for schoolchildren in chemistry 2024 in China, the International Mathematical Olympiad 2024 in the UK, the International Biological Olympiad 2024 in Kazakhstan, the International Physics Olympiad 2024 in Iran, the Union State of Belarus and Russia Schoolchildren Olympiad in Russian Language and Literature 2023 in Belarus and the European Geographical Olympiad 2024 in Serbia.

The Ministry of Education also determined the list of subjects for the 3rd (regional and Minsk city) stage of the Republican Olympiad in subjects held by the department in the academic year ending in the year of admission.

Winners (holders of diplomas of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd degrees) of the 3rd stage have the right to be admitted to universities without examinations upon admission in accordance with paragraph 19 of clause 23 and paragraph 16 of clause 24 of the Admission Rules.

There are a total of 20 subjects on the list (previously there were 16): mathematics, computer science, biology, physics, chemistry, history of Belarus, geography, social studies, astronomy, Belarusian language and literature, Russian language and literature, English, Chinese, French, German and Spanish. , physical education and health, labor training.

In addition, the winners (holders of diplomas of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd degrees) of the 5th Republican Competition of Professional Excellence for high achievements in certain nominations and competencies of the competition corresponding to the profile of education are admitted to universities without exams and to colleges without competition. .
