The head of the district city administration (RGA) of Brovary, Vladimir Maybozhenko, was detained by the police and will be dismissed from his position. The Kyiv regional administration reports this.

According to the National Police, today, while driving, Maibozhenko ignored the red traffic light and hit pedestrians at the crossing. Four people, including a child, received injuries of varying severity. The test showed the presence of 2.3 ppm of alcohol in Maibozhenko’s blood—that’s about a bottle of vodka—with the permissible limit being 0.2. He faces three to eight years in prison. The public writes that on Tuesday, April 23, Maybozhenko had a birthday, but apparently he continued to celebrate it today.

“Among the victims in the accident involving the head of the Brovary district state administration is a 32-year-old mother with a 2.5-year-old daughter, as well as two men – 29 and 26 years old. According to the results of a preliminary examination, the child has a fracture of the humerus and a subcutaneous hematoma of the occipital region of the head. The rest of the victims: polytrauma, closed craniocerebral injury, injuries and fractures of the coccyx, collarbone, shoulder, scapula, nasal bone, ribs, limbs, multiple bruises and abrasions. The victims are in the Brovary hospital for intensive treatment,” – says the telegram channel of the Kyiv regional administration.

The head of the Brovary district state administration, Vladimir Maybozhenko, will be dismissed, said the head of the Kyiv regional military administration Ruslan Kravchenkocommenting on what happened.
