The first stage of the VI festival of children’s books and children’s creativity “InterKinder” has ended in Tyumen. Over 2,360 people took part in it. This year the event is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Tyumen region. The festival takes place within the framework of the national project “Culture”.

– In Mendeleevka, young Tyumen residents got acquainted with the culture and traditions of the region, with the official symbols of the region – the coat of arms and flag. We learned about the nationalities inhabiting the region, their literature, languages, crafts, folk costumes, and dances. The acquaintance took place in the form of a literary fashion show, master classes, theatrical performances, and board games, the region’s culture department said.

They added that parents and teachers discussed the problems of children’s reading at a round table. A video marathon “Native Lines” took place online, in which 98 readers took part, recording excerpts from the works of their favorite authors on video.

The second stage of InterKinder – “Warm Heart of the Cold North” – will take place in June. It will be dedicated to the cultural code of the indigenous peoples of the North.

The regional department of culture recalled that at previous festivals “InterKinder” literary walks took place in France and Germany, Scotland and Ireland, China and Japan. In 2023, the focus was on the peoples of Russia.
