Mercedes-Benz will introduce a new generation of its electric V-Class minivan in 2026, betting on a significant increase in autonomy and continuing its tradition of luxury. According to preliminary data, the new Mercedes V-Class EQ will have a range of more than 500 km on a single charge, which will put it on par with the most advanced electric cars on the market. The new product, noticeably different from its predecessor EQV, was spotted by photographers during tests in very early stage of development. Despite the camouflage, it is already clear that the car will receive a more rapid and aggressive appearance. The front end will be shaped like a wedge, adding to the dynamic feel, while significantly flared wheel arches hint at a more spacious interior. As you would expect from Mercedes, the new V-Class will be equipped with advanced technologies, including Level 2 and 3 autonomous driving systems being developed at the new VAN.EA platform, designed specifically for medium and large vans. It will be the brand’s first minivan with this level of autonomy, which will undoubtedly strengthen the German brand’s position in the electric vehicle market. The new V-Class is expected to offer both single- and dual-motor electric variants, which will optimize performance and energy efficiency. The developers are paying particular attention to the battery, which will be placed between the axles to improve weight distribution and handling. In addition to technical improvements, Mercedes-Benz does not forget about style: bright yellow seat belts in the interior only emphasize the unique and bold character of this model. Premiere of the new electric Mercedes V-Class EQ minivan is planned for 2026. With these ambitious updates, Mercedes intends to strengthen its position in the growing electric vehicle market, offering customers not only environmentally friendly, but also high-tech vehicles of the next generation.
