The stagnation in sales influenced the decision of Kaiyi dealers to announce special programs to stimulate demand for three Chinese models produced under license at the Avtotor enterprise in Kaliningrad. The benefit for the buyer consists of both the discount from the manufacturer itself and from dealers working through Trade-In and government programs to stimulate demand. Moreover, in total the price of the car can fall by 20% of the original cost.
Kaiyi E5
The Kaiyi E5 sedan became the first model of the Chinese company released onto the Russian market. In 2023, the sedan was recognized as “Car of the Year”, for which it received the corresponding award. The car is equipped with 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engines with a power of 147 hp, front-wheel drive, as well as 5-speed manual transmissions and CVTs. Kaiyi E5 is offered in three trim levels: Standard, Luxury+ and Luxury Sport.
The price of sedans starts from 2,195,000 rublesand the maximum discount for the initial Standard version reaches 480,000 rubles.
Kaiyi X3
The company’s second model is the Kaiyi X3 compact crossover. The car is equipped with a naturally aspirated gasoline engine with a power of 113 hp. It comes with a 5-speed manual transmission or CVT. The car has only front-wheel drive.
The crossover is sold in two trim levels: Comfort and Luxury, and price starts from RUB 2,238,000. The discount on Kaiyi X3 can reach RUB 400,000.
Kaiyi X3 PRO
The third Avtotor model covered by seasonal demand motivation programs is the Kaiyi X3 PRO crossover. The car is equipped with a more powerful 1.5-liter 147-horsepower turbocharged gasoline engine from the E5 sedan and a number of additional options. The car has an advanced sporty design, a panoramic roof, good climate control, parking sensors, all-round cameras and other options. The drive is only front-wheel drive, and a CVT variator is used as an automatic transmission.
The price of the crossover in the Luxury configuration is 2,514,900 rublesand the maximum benefit is 450,000 rubles.
Kaiyi X7 Kunlun
Currently, another crossover of the brand is being assembled in Kaliningrad – the mid-size Kaiyi X7 Kunlun, named after the Kunlun mountain range in China. The car is equipped with 1.6-liter and 2.0-liter turbocharged engines with a power of 186 hp and 238 hp. Together with them comes a manual gearbox or a Getrag preselective 7-speed “robot” with two clutches in an oil bath. For now, it’s only front-wheel drive.
The price for a crossover starts from 2,497,900 rubles, and there are no discounts on Kaiyi X7 Kunlun.
