Film director, screenwriter and producer Yegor Konchalovsky said that he was offered to film the series “The Boy’s Word. Blood on the asphalt.” However, he refused, the filmmaker told the RTVI channel.

Konchalovsky explained that the project was of no interest to him.

“I was offered to film Blood on the Asphalt. I refused, because in the concept that was discussed then, I would have again entered the “Antikiller” waters. That is, it would be the same. I’m no longer interested in this, in general, until the end,” – said the director.

He added that he did not expect such a success for the series, but does not regret his decision. He called the creators of the film “great fellows.”

“It wouldn’t have worked out that way for me, I would have made a different movie. Maybe it would also be good, but it would be different. This is exactly what I didn’t want,” – concluded Konchalovsky.

As reported EADailyseries Zhory Kryzhovnikova “The boy’s word. Blood on the Asphalt” appeared on online platforms on November 9. It talks about the life of youth groups in Kazan in the late 1980s. The last episode was released on December 21, despite the fact that the last two episodes were re-shot.

The series received not only wide popularity among viewers, but also recognition from the professional community.
