The Lord of the Rings trilogy will be re-released – restored director’s cuts will be shown

Warner Bros. announced that it plans to re-release the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Screenings will take place in select cinemas for a limited time.

The company will release extended and restored versions of films based on the remasters Peter Jackson made in 2020. These versions had not previously been shown in cinemas. Screenings are expected to take place on major networks like AMC, Cinemark and Regal: The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring will be shown on June 8th, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers on June 9th, and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King on June 10th ” The films will not be officially released in Russia.

The second season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is expected to be released in 2024, as well as the anime The Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim, which takes place in Jackson’s version of the universe, and some of the characters are voiced by the same actors as in the original films.
