In the Chelyabinsk region, first aid kits for schools and villages will be collected according to new rules

The Ministry of Health proposed collecting school first aid kits strictly according to the rules. The Ministry has developed requirements for the configuration of medical “suitcases” for providing first aid in educational organizations. The draft order can be found on the federal portal of draft regulatory legal acts regulation.gov.ru.

The list of medical products that are recommended to be placed in the school first aid kit includes various dressings, hemostatic tourniquets, adhesive plasters, gloves, and so on. The list also includes a life-saving isothermal blanket, a disposable mask and mouthpiece for cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and masks.

Previously, the Ministry of Health proposed expanding the scope of the car first aid kit. Its contents should be sufficient to provide first aid to victims of an accident until the ambulance arrives. The car first aid kit will now include, among other things, an insulated rescue blanket and surgical scissors. It will also include a CPR mouthpiece, reusable and disposable elastic bandages.

First aid equipment in rural settlements will also be replenished. According to the law, such first aid kits must be in residents’ homes if there is no medical outpatient clinic or first aid station in a small (up to a hundred people) locality. A stethoscope, a portable pulse oximeter, a glucometer and a Guedel airway, a tube to maintain patency of the upper respiratory tract, will be added to the rustic setup.
