Voronezh City Duma deputy Artyom Rymar criticized the regional waste removal operator Ecotechnologies.
The parliamentarian said that one of the main problems of Voronezh is container sites overflowing with garbage, which the company named above must empty.
According to the deputy, “everyone can notice” that this duty is not being fulfilled.
“There is a frequency for garbage collection, but it is not observed. We all regularly pay for the removal. The ultimate beneficiary of the regional operator is located abroad, in fact, siphoning money out of our pockets and drowning the entire city in garbage. How is this possible?” wrote Rymar.
The press secretary of Ecotechnologies, at the request of the correspondent of “MY!” commented on the parliamentarian’s statement.
The company noted that there are other players in the waste management system: management companies, city hall, district governments or district administrations.
“Of these players, we consider ourselves to be the most conscientious, and here’s why: only we have a transparent system for recording the movement of vehicles and exported waste. We are an organization that, more often than all other participants, sees each site with our own eyes on a daily basis, capturing it in photos and videos. Neither the majority of management companies nor the administration can boast of anything like this,” the organization said.
Ecotechnologies believes that if all participants in the waste management process fulfilled their obligations in the same way as their employees, then most likely no problems with waste would arise in the city. More details about the example given by the company can be found at the link.
“Deputy Artem Rymar is an experienced deputy and a competent specialist who, more than many, has an understanding of how the waste management system is organized from a legal and organizational point of view, but as befits a politician, he prefers to work with bright slogans rather than help solve problems systematically and in real pain points,” the company responded to the parliamentarian’s attack.
