Smolensk “Farmer School” is recruiting students to start in September | 04/23/2024

Director of the Smolensk branch of the Russian Agricultural Bank Evgeniy Lasy discussed the prospects for cooperation for 2024 with the acting rector of the Smolensk State Agricultural Academy Anna Timofeeva.

The parties outlined joint projects for 2024 and prospects for bilateral cooperation. They considered issues such as the launch of the fourth wave of the “Farmer School”, the implementation of the bank’s scholarship program for students, the “Job Fair”, the bank’s participation in the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Smolensk State Agricultural Academy, as well as the possibilities of the “I am in Agro” platform from the Russian Agricultural Bank for agricultural education and labor education of students.

Following the meeting, the participants agreed to formulate work plans in each area.

— I am confident that our desire for cooperation between Rosselkhozbank and the Smolensk State Agricultural Academy will bear fruit and will be useful for students, the agricultural sector of the region and our common success. Many years of joint work between our organizations are yielding results. We look forward to new projects and initiatives! – noted the acting rector of the Smolensk State Agricultural Academy Anna Timofeeva.

— The Russian Agricultural Bank and the Smolensk Agricultural Academy are connected by many years of fruitful cooperation in many areas. On the basis of the academy, we implemented 3 streams of the Russian Agricultural Bank’s general educational project “Farmer’s School”, and many university students annually undergo internships at the bank and remain as employees. Indeed, many common projects have been implemented, but there are even more joint initiatives ahead!

The federal educational project “Farmer School” is a program for advanced training of farmers, developed by the Russian Agricultural Bank, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Smolensk Region and the State Agricultural Academy.

In the Smolensk region, over the course of 3 years, the “Farmer’s School” opened its doors three times. 97 farmers received state diplomas. All of them defended business plans to open or expand their production facilities. Many successfully work in the region’s agriculture and create new food brands.

We invite everyone to study at the Farmer’s School. Participants in the new wave of the RSHB educational project “Farmer’s School” will be able to undergo free training under the professional retraining program and receive state-issued diplomas. Training will take place in three areas: “Organization of production and processing of livestock products,” “Crop production,” and “Agritourism.”

The following can take part in the competitive selection:

– heads and specialists of peasant (farm) enterprises, personal subsidiary plots, individual entrepreneurs registered in rural areas (rural agglomeration) of the Smolensk region;

– representatives of agricultural production and processing cooperatives registered in rural areas (rural agglomeration) of the Smolensk region.
