From April 22 to 26, the cultural and cultural center in Yaroslavl is hosting for the first time a large-scale career guidance forum for young people, “Open Doors Week.” At it, more than 15 thousand participants from all urban districts and municipal districts of the region will get acquainted with the leading enterprises and educational institutions of the region.

“One of the tasks of the youth policy sector is career guidance, so the regional Youth Palace, at its forum, talks about key projects in which high school students and students can develop cross-professional skills and try themselves in different fields,” said Vera Dargel, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Yaroslavl Region. – I would like to note that our regional branch of Russian student teams is also doing a lot of work in this direction – we are already preparing children for the summer season in the teaching teams of children’s camps and in the guide teams. Russian President Vladimir Putin speaks about the great importance of career guidance work.

At the forum, applicants are introduced to promising areas of study that are available in each of the 12 universities and 20 colleges of the Yaroslavl region. You can also learn about the most popular professions and successful enterprises in various areas: mechanical engineering, energy, food, chemical, construction industries, leisure, tourism, trade and others.

At interactive stands, each participant can try himself in a particular profession or “try on” a future specialty, as well as take part in sweepstakes and competitions from the organizers.

– It was very interesting. It’s great to talk to students who are already studying at universities and learn about their experiences. I have decided on the faculty. I think that I will apply for social management,” forum participant Zahra Jahangirova shared her impressions.

Participants received an invitation to the “Open Doors Week” in an interactive video with the forum mascot Mishka, which was developed by the youth of the region. A special application has also been developed, with which participants can give feedback about the sites, participate in merch giveaways and try out the capabilities of augmented reality.

Not only schoolchildren and students, but also others can access the forum. For them, visiting is open from 17.30 to 20.00 until April 25 inclusive. To do this, you need to come to the Millennium Cultural and Exhibition Center, register and start getting acquainted with the exhibition.
