Bergman Weekend is a film weekend about the life, work and contribution to world cinema of the cult Swedish theater and film director, screenwriter and writer Ingmar Bergman. They will take place from April 29 to May 1.
On April 29 at 14.00 there will be a reading of the play “Autumn Sonata”. The story of one family, the relationships in which were initially devoid of love and sensitivity. Participants are the Attic theater laboratory and actress Maria Ivanenko. At 18.00 there will be a cult of “Persona” – a lecture by film critic Varvara Tirakhova to the music of Anton Razumov.
On April 30 at 12:00 there will be a screening of Ingmar Bergman’s film “The Seventh Seal” (1957). The cultural exchange “Bergman: Through the Universes” will take place at 4 p.m. Lecturers will be teacher of history and theory of cinema Maria Eriskovskaya and art observer Varvara Baskakova. The day will end with a concert “In the presence of noise” from Anatoly Rip and the Texture music laboratory.
On May 1 at 14.30 Vologda residents will be able to watch Bergman’s film “Strawberry Field” (1957). You can register for events and buy tickets using the links in the Bergman Weekend group.
