The work is being carried out as part of the national project “Safe Quality Roads”.
The contractor has begun repairing the Olsha-Velizh-Usvyaty-Nevel highway. The work is taking place in the Demidovsky district in the sections km 40+000 – km 41+500 and km 42+935 – km 44+536. Work on milling and installation of asphalt concrete pavement is being carried out.
Let us remind you that the Olsha-Velizh-Usvyaty-Nevel highway leads from the M1 “Belarus” highway in the area of the settlement of Olsha to the border with the Pskov region and is part of the regional backbone network. In 2024, as part of the national project, it is planned to repair its sections in the Smolensk, Demidov and Velizh regions with a total length of more than 55 km.
Earlier in Smolensk, as part of the implementation of the national project “Safe Quality Roads,” a major overhaul of a section of Rylenkova Street began (from Peter Alekseev Street to Municipal Budgetary Educational Institution Secondary School No. 37).
Let us recall that Governor Vasily Anokhin reported that in 2024, under the national project, it is planned to repair more than 288 km of regional and intermunicipal roads in the Smolensk region.
