The regional stage of the All-Russian Drone Piloting Championship was held in Orenburg

On April 23, the regional stage of the All-Russian drone piloting championship “Pilots of the Future” took place in Orenburg. The victory was won by teams from the Governor’s Lyceum “CosmAnavty” and school No. 4 of the village of Perevolotsky “Berkuts 2”. The guys will represent the Orenburg region in the finals of the All-Russian championship “Pilots of the Future” in Kazan this summer.

13 teams in the categories of 7-13 years old and 14-18 years old from Orenburg, Buzuluk, Novotroitsk, Sorochinsk, Novoorsky, Buzuluksky, Perevolotsky district and ZATO “Komarovsky” competed for victory and access to the finals. Using unmanned systems, the guys competed in high-speed passage of the track and performed tasks that required knowledge of digital technologies and programming systems.

The regional stage of the championship, organized by the First Movement, took place on a special simulator for practicing skills in controlling an unmanned aerial vehicle at the OSU cyber-sports club.

During the preparation for the championship, the pilots and technical engineers of the teams conducted training in an online stimulator on specialized tracks, prepared for testing, and also took part in a creative competition.

Based on the results of the finals, the best pilots will undergo internships in large industrial and fuel and energy companies, where they will be able to apply their acquired skills.
