The majority of Kirov ninth grade graduates (53%) want to go to colleges and technical schools, and 67% of eleventh graders want to go to universities. The most popular field among university applicants is information technology. 24% plan to become programmers and IT specialists.
In second place are engineering specialties (12%), in third place are specialties in the field of fundamental or applied science (11%). The top five popular professions are rounded out by teachers and doctors.
IT specialties, pedagogy, medicine, construction and manufacturing, and design are also in demand in secondary educational institutions.
