In some of the municipal districts of the Nizhny Novgorod region, the drug situation is assessed as a crisis. Dmitry Filatov, head of the drug trafficking control department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Nizhny Novgorod Region, announced this during a briefing on April 24.
In general, the drug situation in Nizhny Novgorod in 2023 is assessed as neutral. A similar estimate was also made in 2022. However, according to three out of ten indicators, the situation is tense: this is the involvement of the population in drug trafficking, the criminogenicity of drug addiction and the level of primary incidence of drug use disorders,” the speaker said.
In terms of the level of population involvement in drug trafficking and the criminogenicity of drug addiction, a crisis situation is observed in Nizhny Novgorod, Dzerzhinsk, Navashinsky and Balakhninsky districts. And problems with involving children in this activity are expressed in Perevozsky, Vetluzhsky and Spassky municipalities.
