The terminal at the Moskovsky railway station for the high-speed railway line St. Petersburg – Moscow is going to be linked in terms of timing with the lobby of the Ligovsky Prospekt-2 metro station. This is where passengers arriving from Moscow will mainly go.

A video with a description appeared on April 24 in the telegram channel of Governor Alexander Beglov. As the head of the city wrote, “the design of a highway in the city is underway, planning decisions are undergoing urban planning approvals.”

Fontanka talked in detail about why the original concept of the high-speed railway terminal at the Moskovsky railway station had to be changed: after consideration, it was sent for revision in order to obtain a more gentle option for historical buildings on the territory of the Kokorev warehouses.

It is expected that high-speed trains will travel along the HSR in 2028; it will be possible to get from Moscow to St. Petersburg in 2 hours 15 minutes. Last week, Fontanka talked about some details of the project – in particular, that the estimated ticket price will be almost 10 thousand rubles.
