On the eve of the May holidays and on weekends, Astrakhan residents and guests of the city will receive pleasant surprises from the Astrakhan State Opera and Ballet Theater.
All lovers of high choreographic art can expect to meet the great work of the Romantic era – ballet “Giselle” Adolf Adam. Spectators will be able to enjoy one of the most famous ballet masterpieces tonight.
On Thursday, April 25, the ballet will be shown on the main stage of AGTOiB “Nutcracker” P.I. Tchaikovsky. Adults and children will be able to transport themselves from the hot Astrakhan April into the magical atmosphere of a Christmas fairy tale.
Comic opera “Love Potion” Italian composer Gaetano Donizetti will delight the audience on April 27 and 28. Viewers are treated to an incredibly colorful spectacle that unfolds in a television studio in the 80s. The story of the uneasy love of two young people will end in the best possible way, giving theater guests a real fireworks display of bright emotions.
The meeting with one of the world’s most popular opera titles will take place on May 3, when the opera will again be shown on the Astrakhan stage “Yearning” the unsurpassed Giacomo Puccini. The greatest operatic tragedy will not leave all lovers of classical musical art indifferent.
On Saturday, May 4, balletomanes are in for a real treat – a ballet gala concert “Spring Flight of Terpsichore”. In one evening, viewers will see fragments from their favorite ballet performances of the State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, as well as choreographic numbers created at different times. The theater’s ballet troupe will surprise and delight with its filigree performance of masterpieces set to music by Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich, Khachaturian, Prokofiev, Nino Rota and other composers.
Ballet “Don Quixote” Ludwig Minkus will complete the cycle of festive meetings. Colorful, full of joy and grace, the production will become a beautiful moment in life for everyone who comes to the theater on May 8.
