Saint Petersburg. April 24. INTERFAX – The St. Petersburg parliament proposed raising the standards for financing sanatorium and resort treatment for pensioners and benefit recipients, which have not changed for 20 years.

The corresponding appeal to the Minister of Labor and Social Protection Anton Kotyakov was adopted at a meeting of the city Legislative Assembly in the first reading on Wednesday.

“Tariffs are established by the government of the Russian Federation on the basis of those proposals formulated by the Ministry of Labor. We propose to support the corresponding initiative and ask to change these tariffs. They have not changed for 20 years. Of course, the situation has changed over this period of time,” said deputy Alexander Rzhanenkov (United Russia “), presenting the document.

Thus, he pointed out, more than 1 million 600 thousand pensioners live in the city, as well as ten categories of beneficiaries. As a result, only 30% of those wishing to go to a sanatorium.

The document clarifies that the main customer of treatment services in St. Petersburg sanatoriums is the Pension and Social Insurance Fund; tariffs are formed in accordance with the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of December 29, 2004 and today amount to 1,756 rubles per person per day.

“Industry representatives state that this amount is significantly lower than the cost of providing services, which forces sanatoriums, in order to obtain the minimum profit necessary to maintain the material and technical base of institutions, to reduce the number of places provided by order of the Social Fund. Recipients of sanatorium treatment services with their own The parties rightfully complain about the low quality of services – an extremely small number of medical procedures, monotonous food and worn-out rooms,” the appeal says.

In this regard, deputies believe that the standards for financing sanatorium and resort treatment for beneficiaries need to be increased in order to both improve the quality of services and support industry enterprises.

47 deputies voted for the document.
