The well-known former prosecutor Ivan Panchenko was confirmed as vice-mayor of Voronezh. This happened today, April 24, at a meeting of the City Duma.
He was elected to the post of Vadim Kstenin’s deputy for internal policy. He previously worked in this job, but in a temporary capacity. Now he has gotten rid of the acting prefix.
32 people, all parliamentarians present, unanimously voted for his appointment.
It is known that Ivan Panchenko was born in 1966 in the village of Sofievka, Kantemirovsky district, Voronezh region. He graduated from the Law Faculty of Voronezh State University with a degree in Jurisprudence. He worked his way up from assistant prosecutor of the Olkhovatsky district to deputy prosecutor of the Voronezh region. For several years he headed the prosecutor’s office of the Ryazan region. Awarded the medal of the Order “For Services to the Fatherland, II degree.”
