Last weekend, sambo competitions were held in the new sports and recreation center on the Zeya embankment in honor of the school’s anniversary. About 300 wrestlers from Blagoveshchensk, Belogorsk, Svobodny, Zavitinsk and Magdagachi defended the right to cups and medals.

“Children born between 2010 and 2015 compete at our competitions. The guys show good technique and wrestling, you can see the work of the coaches. For many, this is the first tournament in their lives, and the main thing here is just to go out on the mat, not to shy away from your opponent and fight, and then courage, experience, and victories will come,” emphasized the chief judge of the competition, Viktor Kurashov.

It is worth noting that at the Olympic Reserve sports school, much attention is paid not only to the quality of the training process, but also to the material and technical equipment of the departments. Under the federal program “Sport is the Norm of Life,” SSHOR, like a number of other sports schools in the region, receives a subsidy for updating equipment and equipment. Last year, we purchased tatami mats, wrestling dummies, starting blocks, hurdles for athletics, and much more necessary for the training of athletes. It cost about 5 million rubles.
