The criminal case against the heads of two consumer credit cooperatives (CPCs) Sirius and Alfa-Resource was sent to the Slobodskoy District Court. Spouse leaders of organizations are accused of stealing 260 million rubles by deceiving 590 shareholders.

These are mainly pensioners from the Slobodsky and Belokholunitsky districts and Kirov, the police reported. In addition, the man is accused of laundering stolen money on an especially large scale. The indictment was approved by the prosecutor’s office of the Kirov region.

Let us recall that from 2008 to 2021, the leaders of cooperatives in Slobodskoye attracted shareholders under the pretext of paying interest rates higher than those offered by official banks. During the investigation of the criminal case, to recover claims, law enforcement officers seized the movable and immovable property of the accused spouses for a total amount of more than 250 million rubles.

Last year, on this occasion, Deputy Prosecutor of the Kirov Region Sergei Lomovtsev held a personal reception with victims from the Slobodsky district.
