The Moscow City Court has begun to consider the materials of the case regarding the extension of the arrest against blogger Elena Blinovskaya, as reported in the Telegram channel of courts of general jurisdiction.
The lawyer of the “marathon queen” said that his client is ready to pay off damages in the amount of 900 million rubles. The investigation agreed with the proposal and allowed the arrest to be lifted from some of Blinovskaya’s property.
Recently it became known that the blogger’s husband, businessman Alexey Blinovsky, went to the Northern Military District zone, where he serves under the call sign Brix. His division deals with drones and electronic warfare.
A source from the blogger’s circle said that the defense could use her husband’s departure to the SVO to change the measure of restraint from confinement in a pre-trial detention center to house arrest. One of the defense arguments may be the upbringing of four children who, after their father left for the Northern Military District zone, were left without parents under the supervision of their grandparents.
Earlier, the Investigative Committee brought final charges against Blinovskaya and her husband. The spouses are accused of legalizing 706 of 906 million rubles hidden from taxes.
