On April 26, 2024, the largest test for knowledge of the history of the Great Patriotic War will be held for the sixth time. This year, a block of questions will be dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the fascist blockade, the entry of Soviet troops to the borders, the anniversaries of front-line writers, as well as other anniversary dates.
Training tests on the promotion website will also help you prepare for the Victory Dictation.
“The permanent partner of the dictation, the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War, is not only the central platform this year, but also actively helps in its promotion. The museum will send thematic exhibitions to new Russian regions. An open lecture is planned in 8 federal districts, multimedia exhibitions and digital excursions will be held,” said Alexander Khinshtein, coordinator of the party project “Historical Memory”, chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy.
For students of foreign branches of Russian universities, lectures by historians from member states of the CIS countries are organized, dedicated to anniversaries and key events of the Great Patriotic War.
“Our action is traditionally supported by schools, universities and colleges, ministries and departments, institutions and organizations of Rosatom, Roshydromet, Rosaviation, Roscosmos, Rosmorrechflot, Russian Post, Russian Geographical Society. We plan that the number of sites will increase this year, as well as the number of participants. Knowing the history of our country will never allow us to forget the heroic past of Russia, which we are proud of and our children and grandchildren will be proud of,” said Alexander Khinshtein.
Online testing will be available in English and Chinese. In offline format, tasks will also be translated into English, Spanish, Greek, Polish, Mongolian, French, Chinese, Serbian. Venues will be opened in all Russian regions. Last year, the number of Dictation sites exceeded 21.5 thousand, and the number of participants was 1.9 million people.
