The first conscripts from the Tambov region went to their place of service

The spring conscription continues in the Tambov region. Like throughout the country, it started on April 1 and will last until July 15.

– We get it, we get everything. Don’t be shy.

Future soldiers have already arrived at the assembly point. First of all, personal belongings are checked. There should be nothing unnecessary in your bags. Alcohol, cutting and piercing objects, and potent medications are prohibited. If things are in order, the conscripts are sent for a medical examination.

– Hello! Can? Will you allow me to undergo a medical examination?

– Of course, come on in. Have a seat. – Do you have any complaints about your health?

– No.

During the conscription campaign, special attention will be paid to the health of conscripts so that those with serious illnesses do not enter the service. There are seven doctors on the medical commission: a surgeon, a neurologist, an ophthalmologist, an ENT specialist, a psychiatrist, a dentist and a therapist.

Tatyana Kotova, physician-therapist of the draft commission: “He passed a medical examination before and now, before sending him to the troops, we must find out whether there are any changes in his health. These are complaints, measuring body temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.”

18-year-old Nikita from Tambov. He understands that a year of service will fly by quickly, and is already making plans for the future.

Nikita Sibiryakov, conscript: “I finished school and immediately entered the Kirsanov Aviation College, but things didn’t work out for me there. I transferred to Tambov, took an academic leave from college and decided to immediately do military service, and then finish my studies and go to higher education in the military department.”

Here recruits are given their first uniform. From this moment on, the soldiers switch to full support.

– These straps are the straps of the bag. We put everything in the bag. I name the object, take it in your hands, and raise it above your head.

Shoes are also given to the conscript at the assembly point. The times when guys went into military service in heavy boots and foot wraps are a thing of the past.

Olesya Pavlova, correspondent: “Until January 1, 2024, young people aged 18 to 27 were called up for military service. Today, changes to the federal law came into force and the conscription age was increased by 3 years – to 30 years.”

Tambov conscripts will serve in units stationed throughout the country, including in elite units and scientific companies.

Alexander Demin, military commissar of the Tambov region: “Those who will be called up for conscription service will not be involved in service in the zone of a special military operation, as well as in the border areas of the new territories: Zaporozhye, Kherson, Lugansk, Donetsk people’s republics. They will not serve in these regions.”

The spring conscription throughout the country will end on July 15.
