The Samara Regional Court sentenced a member of a gang that was part of the Neverovskie criminal community. The prosecutor’s office of the Samara region reports this.

The man was tried under Part 2 of Art. 210 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Participation in a criminal community”), Part 2 of Art. 209 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Participation in a gang”), paragraph “a”, part 4 of Art. 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Robbery”), Part 1 of Art. 30, pp. “e”, “g” part 2 art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Preparation for murder in a generally dangerous way, organized by a group”).

Since 2001, he was a member of a gang that was part of an organized criminal group created by Sergei Neverov and engaged in the “elimination” of competitors, “protection protection”, extortion and raider takeovers of enterprises. Gang members committed a number of crimes, including in 2013 – preparation for murder and in October 2020 – robbery

On March 26, 2024, the jury returned a unanimous guilty verdict. The defendant was sentenced to 18 years in a maximum security colony.

According to Volga News, we are talking about Dmitry Merenkov. This criminal case was being investigated by an investigator from the Russian Investigative Committee. And the trial took place behind closed doors – without journalists. But according to Volga News, Merenkov was charged with participation in the preparation for the murder of Zaguzhev and Petrovsky, as well as a robbery against Ziyatdinov.

Let us remind you that the Neverovskiye gang was associated with illegal activities at AvtoVAZ in the 1990s, drug trafficking and gambling. The group was founded by Sergei Neverov. Members of the criminal community were also involved in murders. Thus, one of the subgroups of the organized crime group was tried for the murder of the owner of the EcoVoz Group of Companies, Alexander Dushkov. The man was kidnapped on the morning of September 7, 2012 near an orphanage, where he visited for charity. Sergei Stenkin, Roman Zinin and Evgeniy Egorov were tried in connection with this. They were sentenced to between five and 16 years in prison.

In addition, in April 2021, the court completed the consideration of the criminal case of another alleged subgroup of the Neverovskys: Vadim Zhestkov, Roman Goreslavets, Ruslan Gafarov and Alexey Stovolosov. They were accused of extortion, robbery, arson, murder and attempted murder. Among other things, the indictment included an episode in which members of the group extorted 23 million rubles. from a woman, threatening to infect her son with HIV infection. The mothers even showed a syringe with some liquid. The defendants were sentenced to 10 to 20 years in prison.

Kanishchev’s group was considered another subgroup of the Neverovskys. According to security officials, members of the group could have been involved in 2010–2011. extort a large sum from Karimov in the Krasnoyarsk region. And in May 2011, they demanded money for “general patronage” from the head of the consulting agency, Natalya Gasanova. They received 15 to 17 years in prison. Sergei Neverov himself could presumably have fled to Ukraine.
