At a meeting of the Ulyanovsk City Duma, which was chaired by Ilya Nozhechkin, deputies agreed on the appointment of Sergei Malchenkov to the post of first deputy head of Ulyanovsk.
It is reported that, within the framework of his powers, he will oversee work in such areas as urban planning and architectural activities; construction; road activities; overhaul and renovation of courtyard areas of apartment buildings, provision of transport services to the population and organization of transport services for the population.
Sergei Malchenkov has two higher education degrees (mechanical engineer, lawyer) and 26 years of work experience; he has been in municipal service for more than eight years.
He reached a high position from the very bottom. He began his career as a fitter at a poultry farm, and then worked as an engineer. Also in Saransk, Malchenkov had experience in managing the Housing Repair and Construction Administration enterprise and the administration of the Oktyabrsky district. Thanks to his extensive experience in economic activities, in May 2022 he headed Ulyanovskvodokanal, and in February of this year he moved to the mayor’s office as acting deputy head of the city.
His awards include a certificate of honor from the Ministry of Regional Development of the Russian Federation, a medal “For Services to the Republic of Mordovia”, and a letter of gratitude from the Head of the Republic of Mordovia for his active participation in social and political life.
“Over the period of his work, Sergei Aleksandrovich has proven himself to be a competent leader, knowledgeable in the issues of management, organization, planning, and has shown all the qualities of a modern leader: initiative, exactingness, discipline, responsibility in decision making,” noted the Chairman of the State Revenue Directorate Ilya Nozhechkin.
