With the blessing of the rector of the parishes of the Holy Trinity and the Nativity of Christ in the city of Kurgan, Archpriest Mikhail Kucherov, in April the next parcels were collected for participants in the special military operation.
The parishioners donated 39,100 rubles, of which 20,750 rubles were spent on the purchase of food and medicine, the rest of the funds were left for the purchase of paraffin for pouring trench candles, which will go to the Northern Military District in the next parcel.
This package contains 150 trench candles, which are very necessary for the soldiers. 50 of them were made by caring parishioners of the Holy Trinity parish, 100 trench candles were made by students and teachers of the Kurgan Institute of Railway Transport, purchasing everything they needed at their own expense.
As before, our parishioners – a nurse and a pharmacist – created a first aid kit for the parcel, taking into account requests from SBO participants. Syringes, antipyretic drugs, anti-inflammatory drugs, and dressings were purchased.
The parishioners of the Holy Trinity parish, who know how to sew, sewed 50 fleece hats, and in each product they put an icon with the 90th psalm “Alive in Help.” The ready-made cut for sewing hats was provided by philanthropists from the city of Kurgan.
The funds raised were also used to purchase 10 packs of mayonnaise and ketchup, 5 packs of mustard, 4 kg of various cookies, 60 cans of four types of meat porridge, 30 cans of stew.
The parcels were formed taking into account the wishes of the SVO participants and will be sent at the end of April to the famous RestaurantforOur warehouse, which is located in the Belgorod region, almost on the front line.
