During the week, students of general education organizations and vocational education institutions got acquainted with the work of organizations in practice. More than 100 people took part in the event.

Students of the Nizhny Novgorod Industrial College visited Avtozavodskaya CHPP LLC and the Factory Networks enterprise (part of the Volgaenergo Group of Companies) on an excursion. At the first site, students saw how thermal and electrical energy, hot and heating water is produced and supplied to the apartments of car manufacturers. At the second, students were told about the modern process of water treatment, showing what a large-scale work goes into ensuring water supply in apartments.

“What I remember most is the main panel, from which the operation of the main power equipment of the heating plant is controlled. I also learned how complex and labor-intensive the process of water purification is,” Stepan Sherstnev shared his impressions of the excursion.

The third group of students from the Nizhny Novgorod College of Heat Supply and Automatic Control Systems visited the Teploseti LLC enterprise (part of the Volgaenergo Group of Companies). First, the children were given a tour of the Unified Emergency Dispatch Service, whose employees serve about 400 thousand residents of the Avtozavodsky and Leninsky districts. Then the guys visited the heat pump station.

Students were shown how circulation pumps work, which serve to maintain the circulation of hot water and its temperature, as well as heat pump equipment, which is necessary to maintain constant pressure of hot water from the Avtozavodskaya CHPP. All excursion participants were able to ask questions. So, the guys were interested in learning about the scholarship program and what is needed to do an internship at the enterprise.

The fourth enterprise was Generation Heat LLC (part of the Volgaenergo Group of Companies). The guys were able to get acquainted with the work of the Severnaya boiler house and see with their own eyes the control panel of the water heating boiler house. This is where the hot water boiler operates, and the operators and the senior boiler room operator monitor its operation, as well as important indicators – coolant flow, pressure in the supply and return pipelines, as well as compliance with the temperature schedule.

“We are always very attentive to the issue of personnel selection and are open to students from specialized educational institutions. Such events allow us, as an employer, to find highly qualified personnel, and for students it is an opportunity to learn more about their chosen specialty, assess prospects for professional growth and, possibly, find a future job,” said Vitaly Gavryushenko, General Director of Volgaenergo Group of Companies.
