A criminal case was opened in Severomorsk after a massive shutdown of elevators.

– According to the investigation, in the period from 04/21/2024 to 04/22/2024, an as yet unidentified employee of a commercial organization responsible for the operation of elevators in residential buildings in the city of Severomorsk, arbitrarily suspended the operation of elevator equipment, depriving residents of these apartment buildings, including the elderly and disabled , the ability to use the elevator and limiting the movement of citizens with health conditions, the regional Investigative Committee reported.

Currently, a set of investigative actions are being carried out in the criminal case aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the crime, including the person who carried out the unlawful actions.

Inspections are carried out, financial and economic documentation of the company’s activities is confiscated, which will help form an evidence base. As part of the preliminary investigation, all measures provided for by law will be taken aimed at restoring the rights of citizens.
