Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow’s position on the sanitary zone for protection against enemy missiles remains unchanged.

A Kremlin representative announced this on Wednesday, April 24. This is how he answered a question from journalists about the supply of long-range ATACMS missiles to Ukraine. Earlier, Peskov said that the more long-range weapons Kyiv receives, the deeper the Russian Armed Forces will attack. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

“Yes, nothing changes in this regard,” the Kremlin spokesman said.

ATACMS missiles are solid-fuel tactical surface-to-surface ballistic missiles manufactured by the American company Lockheed Martin. On April 20, the US House of Representatives passed a bill to provide additional assistance to Ukraine in the amount of almost $61 billion. This military assistance package will include the transfer of ATACMS.

Earlier, the first deputy chairman of the Lower House of Parliament Defense Committee, Alexei Zhuravlev, said that the supply of ATACMS missiles would lead to the complete destruction of Ukraine.
