The educational project “Moscow Technical School” together with the National Research University “Moscow Energy Institute” (NRU “MPEI”) developed and launched the course “Lifestyle in Industrial Design”. Now 16 programs within the industrial design module are available to engineers in the capital. This was announced by the Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy Vladislav Ovchinsky.
Earlier, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin noted that new engineering personnel are needed to introduce modern technologies in production. To help industry solve the issue of employee shortages, in 2021 the Moscow government, together with leading technical universities and companies, launched a special project “Moscow Technical School”. It is designed to improve the skills of engineers in working with innovative technologies that develop the industrial potential of the capital and optimize production processes.
“Today, Moscow manufacturing enterprises pay close attention to industrial design, and the city, in turn, creates conditions for its dynamic development. Last year, the Moscow Technical School launched training in the field of Industrial Design, which offers a wide range of programs. Thus, together with the Moscow Energy Institute, a new course “Lifestyle in Industrial Design” was created – the 16th within the educational module,” noted Vladislav Ovchinsky.
It is noted that the new full-time distance program is designed to form among employees of capital factories fundamental ideas about industrial design – the basics of composition and project development using various artistic techniques.
— Lifestyle in industrial design is an experimental program developed by the Department of Design of the National Research University “MPEI”. The program is designed to introduce a wide range of students to the discourse of industrial design. Listeners will get acquainted with the basics of composition, scenario modeling in industrial design and will see the relationship between a person’s lifestyle and the forms of the objective world with which he surrounds himself, emphasized Alexandra Pankratova, head of the design department of the National Research University MPEI.
Nine general directions, as well as four special ones, are open for employees of enterprises within the framework of ITS. In addition to training courses, participants are offered webinars, conferences, master classes and other events.
