The governor of the region, Pavel Malkov, announced this during a live broadcast that takes place in the “Ryazan Region” group on VK. He said that he noticed the problem with the Solotchinsky bridge immediately upon his arrival in Ryazan.

According to the governor, this issue is complex and requires large financial investments. The head of the region said that the bridge had undergone an examination, which showed that the structure could last no more than 7 years, and only if the passage of heavy vehicles was restricted. In these conditions, a bridge-understudy is simply necessary.

According to the governor, design and estimate documentation has been developed for the backup, and construction will begin next year. It will take about 3 years, and the funds for construction will be allocated by the federal center.
