A GAZ-63 model of 1948 was installed near the Bolshoi Gostiny Dvor. Reenactors will talk about the history of the “St. George’s Ribbon” and the key events of the era. Songs from the war years will also be performed from the stage.

In total, 810 thousand ribbons were produced in 2024. St. Petersburg residents and guests of the city will be able to receive them at the branches of Russian Post, Sberbank and Petroelectrosbyt, as well as at the MFC.
In addition, volunteers will distribute ribbons during the solemn funeral ceremony of laying wreaths and flowers at the Piskarevskoye Memorial Cemetery on May 8, during the parade on Palace Square on May 9, as well as at metro stations.
