The Rostov region was visited by the team of the road expedition “100,000 kilometers of opportunities”, which, in addition to the Don capital, visited the Azov fortress, Aksai dungeons, Starocherkasskaya and Veshenskaya villages, and also the Patriot park in Kamensk-Shakhtinsky.

The auto expedition is a unique project designed for seven months and covering 85 regions of the country. In the Rostov region, two crews driving domestic Lada Vesta and Moskvich-3 cars visited a number of settlements. Thus, in Rostov, the guests visited the cultural and exhibition center “Don Cossack Guard”. The Don cuisine made a vivid impression on the team. In particular, in the restaurant “Krepostnoy Val” in Azov, which is famous for the reconstruction of recipes from the time of Peter the Great.

One of the important goals of the road expedition is to meet people, 100 heroes, who, on their own initiative, change the life of their small homeland for the better. Their stories will be captured in photographs and video materials of the project.

In addition, the auto expedition “100,000 kilometers of opportunities” continues and completes the art history and historical project of the pioneer of color photography Sergei Prokudin-Gorsky, recreating the historical document, unprecedented in world practice, begun by the photographer 120 years ago – 10 thousand photographs of Russia at a specific historical moment. This voluminous archive will be collected in book format in an online version (complete collection) and in a printed edition (selected photographs). Based on the collected video archive, a documentary film of five episodes will also be created.

The end of the route is scheduled for October 2024 in Magadan, in the Mayak Park on the shore of Nagaev Bay in the Sea of ​​Okhotsk.
