An event to improve the reading literacy of schoolchildren was held in Sevastopol

--

Today at school 23 named after. B. A. Kuchera hosted the reporting event of the regional innovation platform “Development of reading skills of primary schoolchildren during and after school hours.” During the event, primary school teachers shared with students of pedagogical faculties and parents of students their developments in developing the reading literacy of junior schoolchildren through the use of dynamic reading teaching technology.

“As practice shows, reading is one of the most important and necessary components of speech development and a condition for the further successful education of children. It has been proven that if a child can read up to 140 words before the 5th grade, then he will be successful in high school. That’s why we try to organize work in such a way that children learn dynamic reading. Dynamic reading is a technique that allows you to learn not just to read quickly, but also to read with comprehension, understand and interpret the information read,” said the director of the school No. 23. B. A. Kuchera Tatyana Provorova.

Teachers of school 23 named after. B.A. Coachmen began developing methodological recommendations last year.
“Teachers first studied the position of leading domestic experts, analyzed the existing system of work at school on the use of technology for teaching dynamic reading, and compiled a selection of exercises for teaching dynamic reading. Based on the results of the work done, the teachers developed lesson notes, as well as methodological recommendations for teachers and parents,” added Tatyana Provorova.

During the practical part of the reporting event, parents and students were able to attend literary reading lessons, master classes and family library lessons.

“Today my parents and I saw a large number of techniques and methods that our teachers use in teaching children. I will take some of the developments into use to independently improve my child’s reading technique. Now we will devote more time to dynamic reading. After all, it develops memory, speech, thinking, imagination, creativity, awakens interest in reading, and this is the key to his success in the future,” shared the mother of a second-grader Dina Borovskaya.
