A reader contacted the editorial office of TN with a complaint about the negligence of the employees of the Tula bus station. The young man wanted to go to Kaluga for treatment after being injured during the SVO.

– I arrived at the bus station, where a classic scene took place: checking a ticket and passport. I didn’t know which of the buses was mine, I asked the controller, to which the woman showed me with her finger where to go, so I got on it,” the man shared.

Before the bus departed, the controller did not double-check the passengers’ tickets, although according to the rules they must count the number of people and notify where the transport is going.

– This is not the first time I’m traveling from Tula to Kaluga, but I usually check which bus goes there, because there are also routes to other cities from the departure point. I was afraid of going to the wrong place, apparently for good reason,” said Vladislav.

After a couple of hours on the road, the end point was not Kaluga, but Belev. The young man was “slightly overcome with panic,” because there was no way to leave the city except by taxi.

– Honestly, I didn’t even notice that we were going the wrong way. Initially, we drove as usual towards Kaluga, and then the usual fields and forests, I don’t know them by heart. When I realized that something was wrong, it was already too late. It is impossible to leave Belev, especially at 18:30, at which time there are no buses. I had no choice but to call a taxi. But here, too, a problem arose: taxis were not called in popular applications, and there was no demand for them in the city. I had to ask the store sellers for help, the women helped me, they called their local taxi for me,” the young man said, laughing.

Vladislav’s trip to Kaluga cost over 4,000 thousand rubles, instead of the usual 500. Next time the naive young man will be more attentive. He has not yet applied for compensation, but hopes that the management will compensate for the money he had to spend.

Tula News contacted the management of the bus station. They explained to us that a conversation would be held with employees about the rules for checking tickets, and those who worked that day would also be checked. A separate conversation will take place with the culprit.
