Chelyabinsk experts of the national project “Labor Productivity” shared their experience with colleagues from Veliky Novgorod | 04/25/2024 | Chelyabinsk

According to the rating of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the Southern Urals is not only the leader among the regions participating in the national project, but for the second year in a row it ranks first according to the results of the work of Regional Centers from all over the country. Colleagues from Veliky Novgorod specially came to Chelyabinsk to learn from the experience of effectively implementing lean technologies at the sites of enterprises from various sectors of the economy, reports the press service of the regional FRP.

The Novgorod Competence Center was created in April 2021 on the basis of the state regional autonomous institution “Novgorod Center for Innovation and Industry Development“(GOAU “TsIP”). This is a subordinate institution of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Novgorod Region. The acting head of the competence center of the Novgorod region, the project manager, came to see how work is organized in the Chelyabinsk RCC Dmitry Korshakov and project manager, RCC trainer Sergey Fedorov.

“The Novgorod region joined the national project “Labor Productivity” only in 2022, so so far we have managed to involve only 16 enterprises in the process of continuous improvements: ten of them have already completed projects, six more continue to work with experts. We are at the very beginning of our journey, and our Chelyabinsk colleagues already have a wealth of experience not only in implementing various national project activities, but also in training employees, training internal trainers, and organizing production workshops at the Process Factory. Therefore, of course, it is very useful for us to adopt their findings and developments,” – sure Dmitry Korshakov.

Unlike the Novgorod region, in the Southern Urals, where the regional Ministry of Industry and the Industrial Development Fund are responsible for achieving the national project indicators, lean technologies are already being implemented by 158 enterprises under the guidance of experts from the Federal Central Committee and the Russian Central Committee. Among them there is the manufacturing industry, the food industry, trade organizations, and housing and communal services. Therefore, the meeting and exchange of experience with Chelyabinsk experts became very important for Novgorod colleagues.

“In our region, a Regional Competence Center (RCC) was formed, experts were trained and they have already successfully implemented several projects, but we wanted to see how work on the national project is being carried out in other cities, what lean manufacturing tools are actively used at enterprise sites, how it is organized work of other competence centers. Moreover, we are talking about a recognized leader. First of all, we were impressed by the corporate spirit of the Chelyabinsk RCC – the competence of the managers, the close interaction of employees with each other: the guys exchange experience on a systematic basis, every week. In addition, we have taken note of such an effective tool for attracting new participants to the national project as regular work at various exhibitions and competitions. We are very grateful to the South Urals for their warm welcome and willingness to share knowledge,” – talks about impressions Sergey Fedorov .

At the end of the visit, Chelyabinsk experts organized an excursion for the guests to the production site of the Chelyabinsk Electrical Equipment Plant (CHZEP). Over six months of participation in the national project, the enterprise’s working group managed to speed up production by more than 30%, and the total economic effect from the implemented improvements amounted to 27 million rubles. And the RCC of the Chelyabinsk region has many such successful illustrative examples; they arouse the constant interest of lean production specialists from other regions, so the practice of sharing experience will continue.

National project “Labor productivity» which is supervised by the First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Andrey Belousov approved by the May decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in 2018 and is designed to create conditions for an annual increase in labor productivity in the country. To achieve these goals, the Government of the Russian Federation has developed a set of government support measures for business, which includes financial incentives and expert assistance in optimizing production processes.

“Process Factory” is a training center that allows company employees to be trained in the tools and methods of “lean production” by simulating real production processes. This non-standard approach to training allows employees to develop sustainable skills in identifying and eliminating waste in the workplace.
