The governor of the Ulyanovsk region, Alexey Russkikh, announced a noticeable decrease in the migration flow from the region, speaking with a report on the government’s activities for 2023.

According to the head of the region, in 2022 the migration loss amounted to 1,746 people, and in 2023 – only 493 people. Moreover, in Ulyanovsk, Novoulyanovsk, as well as in the Radishchevsky, Tsilninsky and Terengulsky districts, migration growth is recorded.

“This is a very good sign! We want the Ulyanovsk region to be talked about as a place convenient for living, studying, working and relaxing. The place where one should take root – to create families, give birth and raise children,” Russkikh noted.

For this, the head of the region added, “we need convenient, comfortable housing, landscaped courtyards, good roads and safe public transport, well-paid work, the opportunity to develop children and give them a good education, and an eventful leisure sphere.”

The governor also said during the report that several hundred defrauded Ulyanovsk shareholders will receive the keys to apartments this year. Read more here.
