On April 24, a meeting of the Vladimir City Council of Deputies took place. During the event, Ilya Aleksandrovich Isachenko, head of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Vladimir, spoke to the deputies with a report on the work of the ministry for 2023.

The issue of migrants is acute in the region. Several deputies immediately became concerned about this problem, the first to speak was Andrei Stepanov, deputy of the 11th district:

“The question is, after all, migrants, who today (are), our hostel is like rubber, I would like to have a raid on migrants there,” – the people’s representative explained.

The second to speak about migrant issues was Mikhail Sakharov, deputy of the 2nd district:

“I would like to ask you to carefully look at the migrants who work for private owners in the territories of the LIC, theft begins. People are starting to worry, they are voicing this,” – the deputy spoke.

“The issue regarding migrants is very relevant. In 2024, the minister put this issue under special control. The President in his message also spoke about migration, about strengthening control. As of today, we have 25,000 migrants registered in 2023. We have about 76 rubber apartments. In 2023, 63 criminal cases have been opened regarding these rubber apartments, people are already beginning to face real criminal liability. If someone has questions about migration, you send a message directly through the 112 system: “in such and such a country house. This is how migrant workers live, please check.” I am telling you that verification measures will be carried out based on this message,” – assured the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

However, the deputy asked to strengthen control by law enforcement agencies on the city streets.

“Inspection of people on the street, that is, during the time when they are moving in places where they are doing their work, standing there in heaps at bus stops, or in dacha cooperatives. It’s impossible for patrols to go there and inspect people? Before there were patrols anyway, it was disciplined , they were worried, they were afraid for themselves there, they made sure they had documents,” – said the people’s representative.

The head of the ministry explained that at the moment migrants have no problems with documentation, the patrol conducts daily checks:

“In the city there is a single deployment of external squads, which include: patrol service, road patrol service and private security. About 40 migrants are checked every day. To be honest, everything is in order with their documents, they are already adapting to our requirements directly to say that they have violations on a large scale. But after an in-depth check, he lives at one address, is registered at a second one, but this composition does not allow for forced deportation. But if there are no documents at all, then we have the opportunity to forcibly deport him abroad. our country. Therefore, I want to say that this area of activity is under special control,” – explained the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Earlier, Vladimir News reported that during his report for 2023, Ilya Isachenko cited statistics on violations of migration legislation. Based on the results of the activities carried out, 233 cases of fictitious registration of foreign citizens for migration were identified, as a result of which 54 criminal cases were initiated.
