Kurgan BMP-3s continue to actively operate in the special military operation zone. This was reported in the telegram channel of the High-Precision Complexes holding company of the Rostec state corporation.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, in the Kupyansky direction, militants are unsuccessfully trying to take advantageous positions. Their plans are opposed by soldiers of the 1st Guards Tank Army of the West group of forces. Armored groups on BMP-3 in the area of the SVO are deployed for direct fire, accompanying the movement of forward detachments to launch counterattacks on the enemy. BMP-3 crews use the entire arsenal of weapons: the main caliber is 100 mm, a 30 mm automatic cannon and a machine gun.
The commander of the armored group with the call sign “Vekt”, awarded the Order of Courage for completing tasks, spoke about the main goals of the BMP-3: “We mainly work at a distance of up to seven kilometers. The main targets are support workers, dugouts, mortar positions and enemy manpower. This machine directly went on direct fire for several days in a row to work on the opornik. The target was destroyed.”
Let us recall that during the Northern Military District Kurganmashzavod sharply increased the production of BMP-3 and other combat vehicles and regularly sends trains with armored vehicles at the disposal of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
