All-Russian hockey tournament “Dynamo” started in Ulyanovsk – Ulyanovsk today

On April 24, the All-Russian hockey tournament of the Dynamo society, dedicated to the memory of the chairman of the Ulyanovsk Dynamo – the head of the KGB, Major General Alexander Nazarov, started at the Leader sports and recreation complex.

The opening ceremony of the competition was attended by the head of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Ulyanovsk Region, Police Major General Maxim Petrushin, and the head of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation for the Ulyanovsk Region, Major General Dmitry Razumov. Governor Alexey Russkikh also greeted the tournament participants.

— A year ago we celebrated the anniversary – 100 years of one of the main sports communities in our country, Dynamo. Festive events and sporting events dedicated to the anniversary were successfully held in the region. This year, the Dynamo society begins a new chapter of its rich biography,” noted the head of the region.

The tournament will be attended by nine teams representing regional branches of the Dynamo society of the Udmurt Republic, Tyumen, Orenburg and Penza regions, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, “Grom” of Moscow, “Iskra” of Sarov, and the national teams of “Dynamo” of Ulyanovsk and the Ulyanovsk region.

The competition was opened by the winners of the bandy tournament among children from orphanages this year – children from the “Nest” orphanage and students from the school in the village of Astradamovka.

The tournament was timed to coincide with the anniversary of the formation of the Dynamo society, which turned 101 on April 18. The honorary right to introduce the puck into the game was given to the chairman of the Ulyanovsk Dynamo branch, Maxim Petrushin.

— Ulyanovsk land is rightfully considered a territory of a healthy lifestyle and the regional organization “Dynamo” continues the work of Alexander Nazarov. Sports and sections are developing in the region, and sports facilities are being built. I express my gratitude to everyone who takes part in this, as well as today’s athletes who compete in the tournament,” said Maxim Petrushin.

Games within the tournament will be held at the Leader sports and recreation center until April 26.
