An all-Russian hockey tournament is being held in Ulyanovsk in honor of the 101st anniversary of Dynamo

The All-Russian ice hockey tournament of the Dynamo society, dedicated to the memory of the chairman of the Ulyanovsk Dynamo, the head of the KGB, Major General Alexander Nazarov, has started in the Ulyanovsk region.

On April 24, Governor Alexey Russkikh welcomed the competition participants. The ceremony was attended by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the Ulyanovsk region, Police Major General Maxim Petrushin and the head of the regional FSB Directorate, Major General Dmitry Razumov.

– These are special competitions – they are dedicated to the legendary man, the proud defender of the Ulyanovsk region and the country, the great intelligence officer – Alexander Vladimirovich Nazarov. His name is forever included in the annals of our region. A year ago, we celebrated the 100th anniversary of one of the main sports communities in our country, Dynamo. Festive events and sporting events dedicated to the anniversary were successfully held in the region. This year the Dynamo society begins a new chapter of its rich biography,” − Alexey Russkikh commented.

Nine teams from the Udmurt Republic, Tyumen, Orenburg and Penza regions, the Republic of Tatarstan, Moscow, Sarov and the Dynamo teams of Ulyanovsk and the Ulyanovsk region will compete on the ice of the Leader sports complex. They will represent regional branches of the Dynamo society. A team from the Ministry of Internal Affairs will come from Tatarstan, “Grom” from Mokva, and “Iskra” from Sarov.

The tournament was organized as part of the celebration of the founding day of the society, which turned 101 on April 18.

− Ulyanovsk land is rightfully considered a territory of a healthy lifestyle and the regional organization “Dynamo” continues the work of Alexander Nazarov. Sports and sections are developing in the region, and sports facilities are being built. I express my gratitude to everyone who takes part in this, as well as today’s athletes who compete in the tournament, − said Maxim Petrushin.
